I'm considering buying an Aliner popup. I like quick and convenient, and small. (I have to hide it in my side yard due to ^&*# neighborhood association.)
I would use it with my pickup with poptop. I am a photographer, and haul too much stuff to comfortably sleep in the back of the pickup.
The main advantage of this solution is: If I go fancy enough, I might be able to get my wife to come along.

An alternative idea is to merely make room for myself by adding a cargo carrier of some kind on TOP of the pop-top on my pickup, or adding a cargo trailer.
An advantage to this solution is I could carry a kayak and a bicycle on top of the cargo trailer, perhaps.

What do you think? Any suggestions, warnings, or ideas come to mind? One thought I had, for example, is that with a trailer, speed limits are reduced in many states, so the trailer ideas both slow me down a bit.
