It's a Ford or Chevy thing. Both are good brands, but people have both good and bad experience with each. Both have had problems in the past, with numerous recalls. And no RV fridge works as well as a residential one. If you have enough battery capacity, consider a switch to a residential style unit. Modern residential fridges are not the power hogs of yesteryear and are viable for RV use with an inverter.
