The 96 Jayco 1206 I have has a battery box on the tongue and a neutral wire attached to the frame but no positive wire that I can find. Where is the wire located that runs back to the inverter at the rear of the camper?

There are two possibilities. The positive wire may go to a connection box under the trailer, then to the converter. If that isn't the case, it may run directly to the converter. If the wire is missing completely then I'd check for a box. Perhaps it was removed for some unkown reason.

Is there nothing attached to the positive post on the battery? Should be a couple wires there - one for the brake system emergency breakaway and one going to the converter/charger.

The wiring harness that came with it looks like some ones dog got hold of it, had a few too many splices in it for my likings. It had 1 black wire coming off of it but I purchased a replacement and it has no loose wires. All wires go from the vehicle connector to the connector on the tongue of the trailer.
