We have not done dry camping for a while and are confused about how water gets to and from the holding tank and the hot water tank when not hooked up to city water.  When you manually fill the tank, does water automatically go into the hot water tank or is there some process that one needs to activate?
As you use hot water, does the tank automatically fill from the holding tank?
Is there a danger that you would use all the hot water without knowing it and have the heat still turned on?
Although we have owned our Aliner for several years, we haven't used it much and feel like newbies all over again.
Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Your water pump keeps the water flowing when not connected to city water.  Every faucet works the same way on the pump as it does on city water.  The water heater won't run dry.
