Had a bunch of Family with us the last week of June on the Gulkana River, near Glenallen Alaska. We camped at the Gakona RV park and floated daily with our two rafts, and BIL little raft. My 9 yr old son hooked and landed his first king salmon, I don't know who was smiling more, me or him ;D. he landed a 25 pound beauty!
The annual limit was reduced due to a late run, so we had plenty of time to make sure everyone caught a king this year. We had several kids catch their first king. The trip was a blast, it is an annual event for the family to get together.
