The saga continues. We are still trying to buy a used motorhome. Thanks to all who have replied to my previous posts.
The 2 Holiday Ramblers we looked at didn't pan out. We have decided to go in a different direction and looked at a 28 foot 2007 B T Cruiser with 2 slides, low mileage, on a Ford V-10 chassis.
My wife seems more excited about this rig than the others and even mentioned being able to drive it herself. That's a good sign!!!!
I am not very familiar with this type of M/H and am once again seeking the valued opinion of the RV Forum community.
Does anyone know if Gulfstream is a quality brand? It looked nice enough, but as everyone knows looks can be deceiving. It would also seem because of the lack of overhang that it might be get better fuel economy than a normal Class C. Is that true?
When we test drove it, it had a harsher ride than some of the Class A's we drove. I am told, by the dealer, that a shock upgrade and maybe some air bags or equivalent suspension components can significantly improve ride quality. He didn't quote any prices, but I'm guessing at least 1500 dollars. If so, is the expense worth it? Do these upgrades really improve ride quality that much?
I am certainly hoping to, one day SOON, post that we have finally purchased an RV. Then we can get out there, gain some experience and hopefully start contributing to the RV Forum. Thanks again everyone.
