Ahh... 49er.  We always remember our first RV park and that was ours.  We purchased our first coach ever and it was a 40 footer so we were scared to death on our maiden voyage... only 40 miles from home... but they only had back in sites!  We had a great time there and it's a beautiful spot with many/most backing up to their lake/pond.

I'm afraid I don't have any specific day trips to propose but it's great wine country and on the edge of the California Gold Country so you can't go wrong packing a picnic lunch and heading down highway 49.

Have fun.

ONLY BACK IN SITES....................YIKES......................... ;D  Well this will be a GOOD time for my Wife to get her 1st lesson in BACKING UP...................

Thanks, Stones Fan, Aka Bruce

P.S. Would anyone know if they allow Fishing in their POND....................... ???

Bruce...

There is the State Park site at the old gold rush town of Columbia - fun way to spend a few hours looking at the old buildings - several are usually open and sell food, candies, etc... or you can pan for some gold flakes there as well...

Jamestown has the Railroad museum with lots for the rail fan to see - they run some of the steamers once in while...

And up the 'hill' a bit, there's the Black Oak Casino...the Mi-Wuk's will be happy to have you stop by... ;D

Sonora has a few old shops and saloons to visit as well...for gishing you might want to try New Melones reservoir... http://www.gloryholesports.com/about_new_melones_lake.htm

Have a great time, the weather should be great...
