I just bought a complete Blue Ox towing setup for my 2010 Wrangler....Base plate, Adventa tow bar and the Patriot ....Question on the Patriot braking system and battery draw.....

If I tow all day, will the toad batt hold up  and be fine at the end of ther day???  The Patriot runs its electric motor off the toad battery and the toad brake lights come on when activated...I do not have the setup that charges the toad battery from the MH...I am using magnetic lights.......Mfg is non-committal.......

Anybody have any experience or opinions??

Yes, I got your answer! The patriot system uses an electric actuator which only draws a maximum of 3 amps when using full braking power on setting 9 and a low .5 amps when the system is sitting idle. This is much less than the air cylinder systems that draw up to 12 amps every time to keep on pumping up that cylinder with air. So your answer is that your toad battery will hold up fine at the end of a day full of towing. Experience = I have the D-Brake Professional Tow Brake
