What makes the generator pulse (high-Low) rpm's while running? This is something new that cropped up.

Crappy carburetor? Fuel delivery problems (crack or pinhole in the fuel line, for example). Dirty fuel filter?

did your elevation change? you have to tweak the fuel mixture if you are changing altitude from the sea to 8000'.
Hold the throttle shaft steady with your finger. If the engine does not smooth out it is a fuel system problem. If the surging disappears the governor system is the culprit. Does it smooth out under load? That would also indicate a carburetor problem.

I took it to the repair dealer. It was out of adjustment and needed the carb cleaned.
