In another thread, RV Roamer mentioned a two stage furnace.

I have seen reports elsewhere that the Atwood two-stage furnace has a problem at least in some retrofit applications of excessive hum at low speed, possibly due to a poor design of the pwm speed control circuit.

I'm interested in what people have and how they like it.  The noise level from the furnace has been an ongoing problem for me.

I have an Atwood two stage and love it. Rarely ever runs at anything but Lo speed and almost silent.  One of our furnaces is right under the sofa and you hardly hear it even when lying on the sofa.  Have never been aware of any hum either.
