"Do Not Call List" Expiration
« on: January 03, 2006, 08:27:58 PM »
If you registered your telephone number in the U.S.A on the government do not call list for telemarketers, you should be aware the listing remains in effect for only five years.  If you were among the first to register your telephone numbers, then you may be close to being de-listed unless you renew your listing.

Your listing can be checked for expiry and re-listed if you so desire by visiting The Do Not Call Website

Steve,

Thanks. Forgot about the expiration date.

I had forgotten as well, but since I began receiving pesky telemarketing calls on the cell phone, I added that number and noticed the five year expiration

The registry didn't open until July 2003 so no one should be concerned yet.

My to do list is already overflowing ;D and I can't be sure I'll remember in two years.  By renewing the listing now, I've bought time until 2011!

I'd forgotten that I'd signed up, but was able to confirm my listing via that site.
