WHere does the power go off the back of the converter.  Does it go straight to the battery  or a relay  or the 12v panel..  Looked at wiring diagram don't understand.  Porblem is batteries are not charging.  Off generator or shore power.  Bought new batteries not the problem.

Welcome Andy, please tell us what kind of rig you have.

The converter feeds both the power distribution panel and the batteries.  There is usually a fuse or circuit breaker between the converter and battery.

The converter I have now has cables going to a buss with fuses to protect things in case it's hooked up wrong or backwards. The cable that goes to the battery is on the other end of that buss, so if the fuses are blown the battery won't charge. Some converters like Progressive Dynamics have these fuses on the converter.

I took this picture a couple days ago, I'm getting ready to replace the converter. It's the fuses on the left, red ones.
