I don't know what's with the weather.  We were cruising along today 65 to 70 and doing well.  About 1 stopped in Valdosta.  I LOVE those McRibs when McD's has them which is only once a year. I got one for lunch and Sue Anne a couple of the little cheeseburgers.  The sky was darkening and as we moved along the heavens broke loose.  The road was flooding, it felt like my tires were flat! I couldn't believe it, driving got slow and I finally got off for a bit.  Lots of folks pulling over, it was just awful.

Got back on the road and rained some more but we made to within 17 miles of Gainsville, Florida.  A very nice RV park,  they have parrots, some beauties, and other animals we haven't seen yet.  A clean laundry, just a very pretty sitting.  It has a really different parking design for overnighters.  You park on what amounts to a road, with runoffs to the next where you can just leave on one of those, nice design. And I have never been anywhere where they do all the hookups for you!  Wow that's nice.

Got my laundry somewhat caught up, if we get to our final destination tomorrow have some more to do and hopefully make arrangments for a rent car for the next 3 or so days.
It's been a long time since I've driven down here from the north, usually coming across from texas.

I found a cute jack o lantern at Cracker Barrel, it will sit on the dash at night and I can plug it in at the overhead plug.  Black was peeking around the windshield curtain, so an orange pumpkin and a black cat, how appropriate for Halloween. Miss Black is all curled up beside me after being all over the motorhome.  She sleeps under the couch while driving then roams around after we park.

we have tried all kinds of painkillers for Sue Anne, I think the old reliable BackAid is going to do the trick.  So far tonight she is still asleep.

We are at the KOA Campground in Kissimmee.  They gave me unnecessarily complicated directions, I guess they do all, it could have been really simple after I got here and finally found the place.  I did not pay attention and there is a CR 535 and a US 535, jeez, right together, sorry confusing for me. After I got a map of the area instead of the online one, I saw just how simple it could have been.

I told Sue Anne we will wear dirty clothes before I go to that laundry again. I know places need to make money but really.  The washers were lucky if they were half full of water and I dried and dried clothes trying to get them dry, thank God I only had 3 loads. I mean, please, its getting to the point they just want money for nothing.

There are lights by the patio, they don't work, no trees except palms.  It's clean, the laundry room was clean, pool, fire pits, "porch swing", nice layout, close to Disney, the ones running it are from Lake Livingston, Onalaska, Point Blank, so small world.  They are nice folks, but almost $10 to do 3 loads of laundry, a bit rich for my blood.

Well tomorrow off to Universal in the afternoon to spend Halloween there, should be fun.  Then Sunday Disney, the Magic kingdom.  With Sue Anne, you need unlimited pocketfuls of money to supply her want to go places, wow. I just have to put limits as we have spent a lot already.

I hope Sue Anne's arm and shoulder does ok, some days so, so, some bad.

I'm so happy that you made it safe and sound.  How long are you staying in Kissimmee for?  I hope you have a wonderful time which you will at both Universal and The Magic Kingdom.  If you like Italian food I would like to recommend Tony's right inside the gate at magic kingdom, it was very good.

Have a great time.

WOW, you make great time!  I left New Hampshire for Florida weeks ago, and I've only made it to South Carolina. I post about my misadventures at my blog.  I might as well throw out the calendar, and the map, I seem to get lost so often but often have such fun when I do!

How is the kitty cat?  Bet she is so happy to be with her people-pack.

Trick or Treat, it's Halloween!  I hope you and your daughter have a blast at DisneyWorld.

We had a great time at Universal, however, I ran out of Arthrotec, thought I had my pills all refilled, missed those.  I kept wondering why I was in such pain last night with my feet then it dawned on me, none for 2 days.  Sue Anne was in agony with her arm and back before we got to the car to come back to the camp ground.

Sooooo, today we did not go to Disney, instead, I went to the grocer first, then she and I went on a helicopter ride all around, I have before a few times, she was a bit scared.  It was not a large copter like I've ridden in a few before.  One time I went and it had no doors and the whole front was a glass or plexiglass bubble, Sue Anne would not have made that one, it was a bit scarey and airy. If we had not belted in might have done an evac on the turns, I think the pilot was having fun.

Then we went to the flea market and browsed there.  I found 2 of those little thin cutting sheets for $1 and some plastic nesting bowls for $5, I forgot to bring any.

I get lost too Mermiad, especially here in Orlando, always have and likely always will.

This is a nice park, pretty full tonight but realitivily quiet.

There are rigs in here from probably half a million to tent campers.  Some folks just came in with 4 kids and one of them is crying.  Lots of us older folks sitting out, the evening is beautiful.  About ready to turn off the AC again and open windows its so nice.  I had them open till around 3 and it got hot, so AC on.

I'm out of the patio listening to the radio and on the net.

I see an older gentlemen cattycorner from us, he appears to be alone, has a very pretty Airstream and it is very clean.  I'm not sure how everyones is so clean.  I washed mine in Indiana at MIL's but its real dirty again and sure can't wash it here.

Looks like kids are trick or treating, I do have some oranges but no candy.  They hit up the old guy, how funny, they have on costumes, I think they are the only kids here.  I gave them oranges, they were doing a reverse Halloween giving out popcorn, how funny. They are the only kids in here I think tonight.  I have my Jac o lantern in my window!

I like just sitting somewhere comfortably like this.

I was enjoying sittting outside then attack of the skeeters.  I have spray but decided to come in.

I wish Miss Mermaid that I could wander around, but need to be home by the 9th of Nov, left Oct 19th.  Sue Anne cannot be out of Texas more then 30 days or she loses her medicaid and any benefits.  I'm concerned we are gone enough now they may start questioning me on it.  Thankfully she has medicare now too but still needs the medicaid as a supplement, we can't buy one for her so its our only recourse.

The 10th they make their visit, then the 11th hubby is home, he could get a cab home but I think I need to be there to pick him up, told him one day it might be in the motorhome, as I may just be getting home as he is landing.

I am going to have to organize my routine bills better, don't have many but they still need to be paid on time.  I didn't plan on being gone so often or long.  The chicks are going to have to go, kitty comes with us, and my dear dog I'm not sure what to do with.  it's not good leaving him so much and so long.  But I really don't want to share the motorhome with a cat and a 70 pound dog.

I'm going to have to be home a bit after this trip, have to save up again.  We have to fly somewhere by March or we lose some of Tom's FF miles, then again to use others.  That will cost so have to save out of my income.  That's ok, need to be home for awhile anyway.  I dread having to go back to Indiana for Thanksgiving but Tom wants to spend it with his mom and see if she needs anything fixed. I like to go over new roads.

I have very very flat feet and bad ankles, I'm always falling.  I started out the motorhome last night and on about the 2nd or 3rd step, not sure which, fell.  I tried to catch myself but ended up completely twisted around.  I landed on my tail bone and got my right hand also.  Thankfully I had a mat down over the concrete that cushioned my fall.  I have good strong bones, get a bone density test annyally or I likely would have broken something long ago. but it sure doesn't make it hurt any less today.

We went to Disney yesterday, had to leave by 7PM as the place was sold out for their last Halloween party of the year.  It was great visiting yesterday, low crowds, last night would have been a nightmare.  We had a great time.

We are off today, maybe will stop at Silver Springs, never been there. I told Sue Anne it is older but from the pictures I've seen pretty so may do that if it doesn't rain. then we are ambling back to Houston.  Have to be back by the 9th so have plenty of time.

I have good reinds that are managing a place on Cedar Key, just about 20 miles off Rt 75.  Beautiful location, only 5 RV spots.  Right on the water.  Might consider stopping there for a night on the way back.  You can see dolphins jumming right at the end of the pier, ospreys diiving, great sunsets.

Place is called Low Key Hideaway.    Couple other friends of mine were just there, had a blast.  Fantastic sunsets!

That sounds really nice, may do that.

It's been raining tonight, they need it here so I sure don't begrudge them.  It looks like 40% chance of rain tomorrow so we may not make Silver Springs tomorrow, but we are tucked in all safe and dry tonight.  But we sure found a really nice RV park.  It's called Wildernes RV Estates, I wrote about it on another post.  After discounting it was only $20 tonight, dirt cheap, and the nicest I've been in for awhile.  They also sell lots here, all different sizes, but a lot of money.  Still it might suit some folks well.
The rain really causes Sue Anne and I pain, but little kitty, Blackie is all curled up asleep, she has adapted well to motorhome living and traveling.

Hubbies frequent flier miles are backing up on him and going to expire if I don't use them.  Have to stay home for awhile to save some money!!

I'm thinking in January of going to the Florida keys for a few days.  I don't want to drive down there so would be a good way to go, or maybe December if I can swing it.  Then he said he is accumulating on his current flights and I think he has 180000 on Air France.  I'm going to see if that will fly us to Tahiti in the spring.  Man, life is rough, when we are up against deadlines like these. ;D

Next September is a trip to Yellowstone, I'm looking forward to that.

I'm not sure he has seen them, but he said some coworkers have seen whales near the shore of the house they live in.  He has seen dolphins and he said the fish feed in that bay like crazy.  To bad the new pier and refinery will take a toll, you know it will, but those folks need progress.

I need to post some pictures of these little "motorhomes" he saw near the beach in Angola, I was surprised to see them.  They are on my home computer.

Well, today thought we were going to miss seeing Silver Springs.  My tailbone hurt so bad Sue Anne suggested I rent a motorized wheelchair so I did.  I found myself explaining to people why I was using it.  I actually felt self conscious because I look healthy and yet was in it.  How odd that effected me this way.  But still it let her enjoy the place and me able to get around, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to walk it.

I have a sleeping pillow that has a cirlce in it for your head so I used it to sit on and also took pills so driving wasn't bad. I hope this doesn't take a long time to heal.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a fall, you may want to have it looked at because you have a good drive to get back home and I would hate to see you do further damage to it.

Good luck and have a safe journey home.

We are near Mobile, Alabama tonight, I'm not making good progress.

The wind was whipping every which way today and crosswinds are still not wonderful, just better.  I would be trucking along at 65 to 70 then wham, so back down to 60.  But my tailbone is hurting bad enough I had to stop often, I'm going to the doc when I get home.  As slow as I'm going and as much as I'm stopping I'm not getting along so well.  I saw lots of big diesel pushers heading east, but not many out there small like mine is.  I would stay someplace for a couple of days as I think tomorrow is supposed to be worse, if it is I will pull in and stay till the next day, but I want to get to a doc on Monday so want to get in.  Hubby said its only a 12 hour drive from Pensacola to home, not for me right now!!  I looked at weatherbug and the wind would blow from the south, then north, then west, I guess its from the hurricane and the cold front coming in. They are saying 35 here tonight, but its 52 now so kind of doubt it.  I believe we were in the 40's last night but we were toasty.  The furnace didn't use that much propane and Sue Anne was snuggled in.  She doesn't like an electric blanket, so Blackie and I had one. Black loves that thing.  I think we all got up and used the bathroom at the same time, then all plunked back in our beds, even the cat.  She is doing well.  Now she goes behind the couch when traveling and when I stop here she comes.  Today we were at a rest stop and she is out rolling in some sun shining in and then went to sleep for a bit.  She will be traveling with us from now on.

I am getting Sue Anne to like Willie's Place, we even play it at night a lot of times when we are on our computers.  Really good music for sure.

Here I am with an injured "tail feather" and Sue Anne with an injured "wing".  I'm having to help her wash her hair, she is having a time.  She is learning to eat left handed!

I told my husband the only good thing is my backside is well padded enough it probably protected me! ;)

Tonight we had a salad, then I fixed spaghetti and garlic, herb, and mushroom sauce, pretty good.  I'm thinking of baking some cinnamon rolls for dessert soon.

This is a pretty park.  The roads are sand or something and not the best but it actually is very pretty.  They had a pond where you can fish, but as Sue Anne said, not this time.  We were going to go deep sea fishing but didn't do it under the circumstances.

I think in December or January we will use some of Tom's miles and go to Key Largo for a few days, I won't drive down there anyway.  Kind of changed some plans after all this.

On a very sad note, Tom's best friend died night before last, I stayed up late to call and tell him last night.  Last time he was home we had dinner with he and his wife and another friend and his wife.  Both were very sick.  His other friend just went into the hospital for surgery on 2 bones in his neck pinching his spinal column.  They are wanting to fix this he is in so much pain before they start chemo on his leukemia.  We do not think his prospects are good.  He bought a new TT last year I think hoping to travel with his wife.  She had to have foot surgery and is having a time.  Both the guys are younger then us, under age 60.That was one the things that helped convince Tom to let Sue Anne and I travel.  He said you know I really like what I am doing and I just don't want to quit.

Yes, he sits on the patio in the evening and watches the fish jump in the bay there, he said its almost a frenzy.  Then sometimes from the office window they see dolphins in the ocean.  Some guys have seen whales and he went several times to look but hasn't seen them yet.  I would like that too.  I would love a job like he has and he even gets paid for it.  He says well 3 more years I hope, then he says, well age 70 wouldn't be to bad.  I'm sure if he works till 70 he will quit then. But man that is only 5 more years!! and time goes by so fast.

Of course you know I said well, I wish I had got a motorhome just a little bigger but we would lose to much money selling this one, sooooo. I would like a W/D, that is a real pain.

I think you said something like that before you got this motorhome even after fixing the other one all up you still got a newer and bigger one.  I would not be surprised if you get a bigger motorhome so you could have your washer and dryer.  Good for you if you do..

No. I think not this time.  We have some other things we would like to do.  Tom needs his garage built and we delayed it again buying this.  I want him to have it, so I shall just suffer using a laundromat, such is life you know. ;D Also he got me a tow car and we had a cover for the motorhome built, that's enough for now.

I am having a new 95% efficient furnace put in the house when I get home, ours is 20 years old and gas, we want to do it while funds are much easier to come by, also will be eligible for some rebate, there is no income ceiling like many things on this particular item and we have already done all the others. We planned to do that this year but Tom said wait until it cools off the guys will do a better job, then when they are smothering in the attic.

The wind was not blowing last night and it got 34.  I had to get up and turn the furnace down, Sue Anne got to hot.  But I'm wondering about my propane gauge right now.  We have ran the furnace 2 or 3 nights, heated hot water, and cooked and baked and it still says 3/4's of a tank. Also the fridge runs off it, that just doesn't seem right.  It has been correct before though, hummm.

Well time to do my chores.  Cook some breakfast, I'm thinking scrambled eggs and bacon, with toast.  Sue Anne and I straightened the bedroom, need to pull in the slide.  Also time to change kitty litter.  Sue Anne fed and watered Black so that is done.  I think we both slept well for a change.  I slept on my sides and not my back, she did the same she said.  That helped my posterior some. So another beautiful day on this earth.  Any day above has to be a good one.  Seeing and hearing about Tom's friends makes you appreciate each day even with minor, actually very minor health issues.  May today be a good one for all of you too.

We are in Mississippi, driving much better today.  We are both ready to get home now.  Once we start getting closer and especially with the cool weather, not as much fun. I am sure I have a lot to do when I get home.

Wouldn't have stopped now but the poor old tailfeathers needed a break.

Ok onward!

Good driving day today, made it to Lake Charles, La.  Went to one of the riverboat casinos for awhile,  Sue Anne put in money and won it back so she lost nothing, I lost about $40, durn.  We had a good dinner then moved on.  Stayed at A + campground in Sulphur, Lousiana, a really nice campground for $25 a night, full hookups, spotless, includes cable and internet!
