so we just pulled the trigger on our first new trailer this morning. with the wife being pregnant with our second child, i felt it was time to upgrade to something bigger.
We got a 2011 Dutchmen 295BHGS - it can be comfortably pulled by a properly equipped 1/2 ton. GVWR is 7700lbs - UVW is 59xxlbs and the tongue is 780.
well within the range of what the two trucks i'm looking at can pull. ( tundra 5.7 crew / Ram Hemi crew)

Hey, that is a nice looking outfit!  I'm sure you and the family are going to get a lot of pleasure out of it.

Happy camping!

Very nice. Congratulations, you should get years of enjoyment.

Is that the model with the swivel TV (television - not tow vehicle  ;D )?  Has a mirror on one side, TV on other and swivels to be seen from either the bed or the couch.  My son looked at a TT with that set up and really liked it.
Congratulations and both the new TT and the new baby.

you are correct, this one has the tv ont he swivel so you can watch it in the bedroom or the living room - fantastic setup.
we are extremely happy to find a bunkhouse that does not have a UVW of at least 6700lbs / GVWR of 11000lbs+ like all the other ones we've seen out there. This particular model only has the 14 inch slide and i believe thats the reason its lighter and lower to the ground and thats a big plus as i really wanted somethign that would be comfortable to tow with a properly equipped 1/2 Ton - i do have to live with the truck on a daily basis as well.
