just bought 2005 Lance tc. has not been used for some time. having trouble starting generator. can condensation get into propane tank if they haven't been started in a while? would it affect starting genenator? Thanks,Bud
 
Not likely to cause your problem as propane comes out of the tank as a vapor which boils off the top of the liquid.  Any water in the tank will be at the bottom.  Is the tank the same tank used to fuel the gas range and/or furnace?  If so, do these work?  That should be an indicator of the condition of the propane and the regulator.  However, I'm not familiar enough with propane generators installed on a RV.  It may have it's own regulator in which case that could be the source of the problem.
 
Instead of a carburetor, a propane generator has a vacuum activated regulator that sends propane gas through a hose to the throttle plate assembly.  Check the condition of that hose - if there's any leakage the regulator won't see enough vacuum while the engine is cranking to initiate the fuel flow.
