I have a 1996 Coachman class A it had a TV in the dash. So I took it out and replaced it with a 32" flat screen. Ok here is were the battery charger comes in there is a plug-in with a cord with another plug-in on it it keep you from watching TV while the motor is running. I got a triple plug-in and a trickle charger I hard wired the trickle charger to the chassis battery and plugged in the other end to the plug-in that goes off when started so I don't need to turn off when running.

Good idea, but it's not really necessary.  The only time the float charger will receive AC voltage while you're driving is if you are also running the generator.

Having the float charger on while the engine is running won't do any harm, either.  The float charger operates at a lower voltage than the engine alternator, so the voltage from the alternator will override it as soon as the alternator starts cranking out current.  So there's really no problem letting it operate while the engine is running.
