Anyone getting to Quartzsite next week ?

We're headed down from Colorado early next week, Should arrive 1-12-2011. Anyone arriving then or already there ? This is our first trip, wondering what is going on now and how crowded is it ? Hope to meetup and make some new friends ?

Rich & Jane,, What route are you taking south?? We are in Cedar City, Ut. and leaving early the morning of the 14th, will stop for breakfast at the Virgin River casino restaurant in Mesquite, Nv. and meet up with another couple. All headed for QZ>>>Dan

This is how I would go, Rich . . .

From Mesquite, the 15 to LV,
Pick up 515 in LV to Henderson,
95 thru Searchlight to the 40,
Pick up 95 again south to Vidal Junction,
62 over to Parker, AZ
Pick up 95 again down to QZ.

o Some prefer AZ 95 off of the 40 thru Parker to QZ. It's a tradeoff. CA 95 has sections of roller coaster whereas the AZ 95 thru Lake Havasu is a longer route.

o If I were doing the same thing, I would spend a few days in Laughlin, NV -- in fact, I may be there during that timeframe.

We are planning on being in Quartzsite on January 15 or 16.
