One of the things I like to do in addition to flying hang and paragliders is swim in undeveloped sites such as off the beaten path swimming holes and uncrowded fingers of lakes. For me a perfect swim would be 1/2 mile or so from shore to a scenic island in water above 70 degrees. Does anybody have any favorites?
We will be traveling all over the USA this summer with a stop in yellowstone and the grand tetons for sure. While those locations will almost be certainly too cold for swimming, I've read that there is a large lake in NOrth Dakota that is plenty warm enough in the summer. Has anyone been there?
