Betty,

You are such an amazing "organizer"!!  ;D ;D  Both the Twelve Days of Quartzsite and the RV Forum Desert Derby were great and so much fun.  Thank you for being YOU and for helping us all have such a good time.

My $40 pass expires 2-2 so I will be leaving on the first or the second.

Too bad. I was hoping I could drop in at QZ on our way south, and look over brens' shoulder to pick up some tips. Will you be accessible in Tuscon? If so, where will you be?

Looks like some folks were creative! Any more pics?

Well the weather continues to cooperate.  We are all walking around with rosy cheeks from being out in our bright sunshiny weather. Today was another fun one.  I took Helaine out  4 wheeling in our Jeep.  We laughed and cackled all the way through the wash  to the Big Tent.

The afternoon was filled with a most informative session on Geocaching presented by Wendy.  Lucy was very surprised as she thought we were geode searching.  Many laughs later we found the treasures by stumbling on them or seaching with our hand held GPS for them.  Fred,  a new guy was very intuitive on using  clues and he found  them before us but did not spoil the surprise.  Thanks so much to Mike and Wendy for showing us the ropes on yet another way to while away the hours of our retirement!

Another highlight this afternoon was  an informative talk given by Wally on the topic of  Solar  power.  Questions and anwsers were given on solar, batteries, amps, volts and I learned a lot.  It was a subject good for this boondocking experience with so many newbies.  There are many talents in this group and they share them freely. Thanks Wally.  Happy hour had exceptionally good treats today.

Thanks to Marlene for returning from her  home in Goodyear bragging about her long hot shower,No not that...thanks to her for bringing dozen of fresh oranges and grapefuit freshly picked from her tree. She is quite a farmer and the fruit is  delicious.
Off now to the campfire, started each evening by Don Miller who has also kept the early birds in coffee on the cold mornings of the rally.  Thanks Don for keeping us warm day and night!

Potluck tomorrow at  3, Group photo at 2 pm sharp.  Come with your smile.

I will be in Tucson for three months working on my RV and my teeth. I will be available anytime that is agreeable for you. I would stay longer but my generator is not starting and I have been out of electricity for the last few days. I need to get to Tucson to get my generator fixed.

Tom, I am sure that there are several of us here who could at least take a look at your generator.  There are some pretty smart people here who would be more than willing to try and help.

The weather has been spectacular.

The entertainment was been wonderful.

The happy hour "snacks" have been fantastic.

The people have been great.

The traffic has been...oops, never mind.

Life is good.

Wendy.

Thanks for the offer. My house batteries are dead so it would be not very easy to test it.

I'm real sorry. Had no idea you were having generator problems. I've got two Honda's sitting here gathering Quartzsite dust. How about 1st thing in the morning (not 5:30am), we will fire one of them up on your coach and build up your batteries. We are heading North Sunday and I need to run the gas out of them anyway. Can't help with your teeth. Mine are about to go in a jar for the night.

Tom,

If I recall past history, all you have to do to get help around here is to  open your generator compartment and stand over it.  Pretty soon others wander over to see what is  happening.  You also just have to mention your status and others will jump in.  Thanks to Wannbefree for his offer and thanks for not doing so at  5:30 am.
We have also had  others parked next to you  string an extension cord to your rig.  Just give a  hollar and this group is as much to help in person as they are on the RV Forum.

And now we see Tom S with the photo finish last place entries.  We also see the grand finale with Bling Bling  offering thanks to the crowd for their  support.  Ann took control of Rolf and pushed him right through the track with an early and sustained lead.
Bravo to all.

That is a very generous offer Dave, thanks. I am up by 7 so come on over whenever you are ready.
