That stupid commercial has been bugging me. The big turkey and the big ???? What is a big ????? We joked that she shouldn't be talking about it, because it seemed a bit 'personal', and to be talking to her Mom about it?.
Well, curiosity finally got the best of me, I typed in 'vonage commercial, what is big' in google and got hundreds of hits! Amazing! Turns out it is a Big Pernil, which in Spanish lasts for 3 syllables. It is a roasted pork shoulder with lots os spices, and just falls apart when done. When I saw the picture I realized it was the same or at least very close to my favorite dinner at a Cuban restaurant back in Seffner, FL. Would get a double to go for dinner! Now I need to google the recipe, looks like it might ba a candidate for the slow cooker.
Still won't get Vonage.
