I am looking to install extra turn signal indicators on my side mirrors. Lot's of times I think it will help people to see when I turn it on.  Has anyone done this, if so what kind did you use, and how did they work out?

The side mirrors on our Suburban have built-in turn signals. I believe they're a definite safety improvement.

The big mirror manufacturer was selling replacement mirror glass which included the turn signals at the Brooksville FMCA Rally. I didn't get the price, because it wasn't posted and lots of people were looking. It looks like the way to go.

I see a lot of rigs with mirrors simular to mine and there is a light mounted on the underside of the arm (if your mirror has a big enough support arm you might try this) it's basically a marker light but may be brighter.  This could be after-market fitted easily (at least I think they can) on my rig but drill carefully (don't cut the mirror heater wires)
