What kind of mileage can I expect from a 2010 Airstream Interstate with the 3.0 liter diesel in the Sprinter 3500? Any actual mileage data would be appreciated!

On a recent trip from Detroit to Indianapolis to Durham, NC and back I averaged about 17 mpg.  I typically drive 65mph on the freeway.

I think its great that people here are honestly describing the "true" mileage.  I find it ridiculous that even dealers let alone individual sellers are claiming "24+ mpg".

Like my truck empty gets roughly 20-21 MPG (7,300#)

Then towing my 30' Jayco Eagle (7,200#) I drop down to 11-13 MPG

So as for you MPG's it might be roughly the same...

The older ('06 and earlier) Mercedes Sprinters get 20 -25 mpg, depending on speed, wind, load and whether you're driving in the Rockies or central Illinois.
