Well we went on our friends "maiden voyage" with their renovated mh.  We had a wonderful time, the Rancheria in Jackson, CA is a really nice cg.  Very clean, but I would imagine, really really hot in the summer (no trees, well, very small ones!)  We left on Friday and got a little lost...the gps sends you through the small town of Jackson and around some very difficult roads to maneuver!  So, it took us longer than we thought..got there and got set up.  Since it took longer than we thought to get there and we didn't stop and eat, we were all starving... so we took the shuttle to the casino and had dinner.  When we got back...they(our friends, the newbies) told us that they hadn't had the heater or the water heater checked out and that neither of them were on!  We couldn't figure out how to turn the water heater on and the furnace wouldn't ignite, so they just used a space heater for warmth and skipped the shower!  Next morning we all searched and finally found (on the floor) the switch to turn the gas on. (After we unhooked and went and drove to get propane)  So, we got everything working and ended up having a nice time.  I'm going to check out the "checklist" section of the forum and see if there's one that I can give to her to use for future trips.  Some of this stuff we take foregranted...like getting propane.  They didn't know that even though we would have "full-hook ups" you still need propane for some things and in an older rig it's more!  Anyway, it was an experience and I am so thankful that we didn't have any real problems!  We are already planning our next trip together so I think they both enjoyed themselves.  She's always loved camping, did it as a child.  He on the otherhand...only liked to go to hotel/motel vacations!

Thanks for the report. Glad there were only a few minor issues.

Yes, Jackson would be hot in the summer, and that campground is too new for their trees to have grown and provide shade.
