As we are getting on a bit ( or lazy) we are wondering if any of these paint protection products (high profit for the dealer?) are any good?
Our present RV gets those black streaks which are a real pain to remove.
Now we have bought a new motorhome we are wondering about getting it coated tp make cleaning a lot easier.
Opinions anyone?

Anonymous125,

The 3M plastic sheet protection on the front has worked GREAT for us.  Also, clean the roof and wax it.  That way you can hose it off before every MH washing.  If your roof is fiberglass or is painted you will not get as many black streaks as other roofing.  A rubber roof seems to streak more.

We opted for the Perma Plate protection [ inside and out ] for our new Minnie. Less than two months later water was not even beading up on the paint. The dealer reapplied the coating. Month later, same deal. I think you are better off just doing a good wax job every few months.

Mild ones, yes.  It is like a wax.  I'd rather say it tempers scratches as opposed to preventing them.  I guess that is what the Guard part of Dry Wash and Guard means.
