Roadways Forbidden to RVs

There seems to be a number of roadways forbidden to certain types of RVs.? For instance, California has restrictions for RVs longer than 40 feet.? The following URL details them:? http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/traffops/trucks/bus-mh/

Any references for other restrictions?? I seem to remember parkways in NY and NJ have really low bridges for instancde.? Are RVs restricted there?

I thought that regulation had been rescinded, but I guess not.
 
Every source I have, which includes Woodalls and CoastResorts and some others, all say that there are indeed places where they discourage large MH's (Over 8 feet wide)

However it is usually WIDTH, not LENGTH from the rules I've seen
