On the move!!
The reading lights over our RV  bed are really bright and can't be turned so that they don't shine in your eyes. Anyone come up with a shade or some way to make the light not so bright? Have looked for a dimmer bulb  with no luck. Bulb is 1383. I just know someone on this forum has had this problem and found a solution...at least I am hoping so!!

Does it look like this one:

If so, it is a standard base (BA15s, which is a single contact, two pin bayonet base) with a wide assortment of bulbs that can fit.

Here is a selection that might do for a reading lamp. Only the ones with a BA15s base can be used.

Looks like an 1193 or 1193IF might work and be about 2/3 the brightness.

An alternate solution is to replace the light with one that can be aimed. Or add a 12v dimmer to the circuit.

That is the bulb. We bought another bulb that was supposed to work, but it was shorter than the original and we could not get our fingers in the opening to lock it in!!!  Thanks for the info....will consider replacing the light or putting in a dimmer.
