Hi all, I?m looking for a replacement toilet for the standard one in our 2002 255RK Wander travel trailer. Any brands to look for?  Brands to avoid?  What do the higher end units have that the low to mid priced units have?  We don?t mind spending more for a high quality unit to get quality and longevity.  Thanks for the advise and time.

The basic quality levels are plastic vs porcelain. We have Sealand Traveler with a porcelain bowl and the Sealands are featured in many upscale rigs. Nothing wrong with the Thetford brand, though. Whatever suits you best...

What Gary said, plus it is often a matter of foot print. In some applications such as mine, the Thetford style plus II is mandatory. With the limited space for the commode, the narrow base is important.  Then it would be a matter of what kind of flush mechanism you prefer.

If you go to this SITE
you can download a chart that shows which Thetford and Sealand toilets replace the one you have (if you have one of the two brands). It gives the dimensions of the various models and indicates which ones are direct replacements.
