The Monao International rally at Lancaster, CA is officially over. There were over 400 coaches in attendance. This was our first Monaco rally and was definitely worth attending. Mixed reactions to the seminars, but they're trying to cater to a spectrum of folks. Monaco had a large service crew here, which meant everyone got 2 things fixed or installed for free. There were plenty of new coaches on display and, with chances of winning $10,000, $5,000 and $1,000 prizes, it provided an added incentive for some folks to buy new coaches. Relatively few vendors but, unlike the QZ RV show, they were much more focused and there was no sign of the junk stuff.
There were several Framily members at the rally, including Jerry & Ardra Fitzgerald, Al & Judy Griefer and Dave & Lisa Heller, so we had some good company. It also meant nice tables of 8 for the catered dinners.
Almost forgot to mention the excellent evening entertainment.
We're currently lined up outside the main Lancaster fairplex with 150-200 other coaches waiting to caravan over to the FMCA rally in Pomona. We're at the front of one of the lines - I hope they're not expecting us to lead because we'd all get lost. This will be our first FMCA rally and we're hoping to meet up with a number of other Framily members there.
