Our condolences.  We lost our yellow Lab eleven years ago and we still tear up occasionally.  They're such wonderful dogs!

So sorry to hear about your sweet Maggie. How lucky you were to have her and how lucky she was to travel with you. Now she's waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, running and playing and having fun. Gordon sends yellow labradorie kisses.

Ruth, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.  I get a lump in my throat every time I hear these stories because I know how deep the pain goes.

Ruth, I'm so sorry to hear about Maggie.  Pets are so special and we love them dearly.  She's pain free, young and running with all the rest of them.  I had to put my horse down in 2007.  I had him for over 24 years, I still dream about him and tear up if I talk about him too long.  They all get into our hearts even the big ones.

Hugs,
Marsha~

I have been there, once recently. I know the pain, and you have my sympathy and concolences. Your action was the right one. Just hurts so badly. She is in a better place, waiting for you.

Rest in peace, Maggie.

I want to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts.  No matter how many times you have lost a beloved pet, it never gets any easier.  She was an unique girl, and we have many, many wonderful memories of her.
Thanks again.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My condolences over the loss of Maggie.  I know from experience how devastating it is to lose a furkid and understand your grief.  They have a way of getting into our hearts and when they leave they take a piece of it with them.

Run free, sweet Maggie.

Thank you everyone.  We are slowly recovering from the loss.  Still have waves that wash over me and then I want to cry.  I see her everywhere in the house.  We miss her like crazy and so does Jackson.  I like to think that she's happy, pain free and running through the woods.  That was her favourite thing to do.

Ruth
