We bought a used dolly last year and now we find the braking system has probably never worked.  There is a problem with the master cylinder.  Name brand part costs right at $200.  Does anyone know if we can replace the master cylinder with a less expensive brand other than Master Tow?

Thanks,
Sheila

My master tow has e-brakes but the coupler is bolted on - is your master bolted on as well?  if so, you can use ANY used one with the proper channel width (3"?)

gotta pic?
