We have a 2001 30' Sprinter with a 13,500 BTU A/C and are in the market for a portable generator that will run it with out problems.  I've read about linking two Honda EU2000i's together with a parallel kit.  I also like the sound of the Yamaha EF3000iSEB (w/ boost).  Any comments or suggestions based on personal experience for these two options or others?

I don't have any experience with those particular gen sets, but it is my experience that an air conditioner of that size will start and run on a 15A branch circuit as long as the voltage on that circuit is at or above 110 (before starting the a/c).  That suggests that any gen set capable of providing a continuous 15 amps ought to do the job. Of course, you may want a larger size so you can run other tings simultaneously.
