Dometic NDR1292 Fridge "Popping"

Our fridge , a side by side Dometic NDR1292 in a 2005 Newmar Kountry Star, when operating on AC, makes a "Popping" sound when it is starting up. The sound is repeated from 3-6 times about 3-5 seconds apart and then stops.The fridge is working well other than these sounds and had the cooling unit replaced 3 years ago with a new unit from Dometic.
Any suggesions?
