Open mic 'or other campground entertainment

An RV'ing couple from our local ukulele group spend time in state parks (e.g. in Oregon), and manage to hook up with entertainment organizers. They participate in open mic' nights, and also play/sing to entertain other campers.

Anyone else done this? How do you apply or make contact with the 'right' people?
