« on: April 01, 2006, 02:42:05 AM »
Just found a very interesting page talking about the differences that North American/European visitors can expect if they plan on Visiting Australia and driving around the countryside. For starters, this is a very big country and it is sparsely populated. around 92% of the population lives within coastal cities. Check out these comparison graphics ...
Australia vs North America  or  Australia vs Europe
Now that might have surprised a few of you ;)
Plan on staying a few months if you really want to see it all. This site also gives you a chart showing distances between capitals. And gives info on Parks and on regulations for driving in Australia. And after reading all that, if you still have any questions, feel free to yell out and I will try to get some answers for you.
