During the past couple of weeks we have had a mini-rally with Russ M. before he left Des Moines.  We stayed at the COE park north of Cutties and were able to get together with Russ and friends several times.  It was great to spent time with Russ and see how he is doing.  It was wonderful to see Jeanette again and also meet friends of Russ, Dennis and Jean.

After leaving Des Moines we met up with Don and Peg M. north of Kansas City, MO at a beautiful P.A. park, Basswood Country Resort, in Platte City, MO.  We traveled with them to another P.A. park, Spring Creek RV, in Halstead, KS.  We drove to Hutchinson to tour the Cosmosphere which is very interesting and a must see if you are in the area.  After spending most of the day there we drove to Yoder for a very good Amish dinner.

Don and Peg left for home but it was great to meet up with them and have a wonderful time together.  They joined us in Milwaukee in July on their way from EAA to Ohio.  We really enjoyed being able to spend all this time with them.

We love having mini-rallies with Framily.  It is very special to meet up with them anywhere in the country.

To make this official rallies there pictures from Milwaukee, Des Moines and Halstead.

Stay home so we can have another one next month.

So good to see Don and Peg again.  You guys look terrific! ;D

A picture of the elusive Jeanette!  Warms my heart, she is such a special lady.  If you think the Mahoney Wives try to keep Russ in line, we don't hold a candle to edicts from Jeanette!  ;D

Too too true!

Lorna,

On the photo of Don & Peg, you forgot to mention Jack!!! As much as we all love Don & Peg, we cannot forget Jack!!! :) :) :) :) We have been fortunate to visit with Don & Peg and hope to do so in the not too distant future!! :)

We have to get home first.  Cooler weather finally came to KS yesterday, so we're going to try to take some to OK today.  We should be home by next week some time.

Sorry Jim that I forgot about Jack.  Sure hope the he doesn't take offense of that :-[

Just getting caught up on Forum messages.

It was great seeing Russ and Ned and Lorna again. First time meeting Jeanette, quite a lady.

Ned and Lorna showed us the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas. A real gem of a find.

Jim, when are you and Pat getting down this way? Your spot is open.

Don,

We are scheduled to leave here on 7 November with the Whetstones. Thanks for the invite. We certainly will try to visit on our way back East. We will keep you informed of any changes. I know Bill has a couple of stops planned on the way. We will be following Bill & Jolene until Tucson.

I originally thought we would be back home by the first week in November. Certainly will not happen now!! ;D ;D

Jim and Pat will you be coming our way and if so it would be good to see you again?  Hopefully this time we can get to Fredericksburg.  The truck is working fine but the MH is waiting for warranty approval in Ft Worth to work on the engine.  Lots of fun staying in their back lot  for several nights.

Lorna,

Not sure what we are doing on the way back. It would be nice to see you and Ned again but may not have the time. I'm trying to come up with a schedule to fit in a visit to a resort on Florida's west coast. It's run by a couple that worked here in 2009. Looks like a wonderful place for photographic opportunities.

There are only five RV sites and one is too small for our rig. :) I'm sure reservations are difficult.

Lorna,

Betty is going to have her knee replaced after the first of the year and we're planning a couple of trips before Christmas.  One of them will probably be to the Hill Country.  We'd sure like to stop and say Hello if we make it over there.

Also, we've got a 30 amp plug outside our barn and a water hook up if you want to stop in Bryan for a night on the way home.  We'll be gone to Houston this Saturday, but will be home until about the 7th, when we're heading to Kansas.

Larry

Larry, we would love to have you come and spend a few days with us.  Keep us posted as to when.  Thanks for the offer of visiting you but we will be ready to head for the lot as soon as they get our engine repaired.  We will come to visit you on one of our trips but will let you know when.
