Well, I seem to be on a roll learning my lessons about this RV. What was supposed to be a simple re-seal job on the roof turned into the need to replace it. We found some soft spots that did not turn up during my (admittedly incomplete) inspection. There are also several spots where the rubber roof is bubbling (I didn't think this was a problem). Since we are planning to take the RV from Texas into Canada, chances are we may encounter freezing weather and/or snow (it will also be stored outdoors in Calgary). Primarily for this reason, but also out of necessity, I am going to have the roof replaced.
If anyone has any helpful tips, I would appreciate hearing the words of wisdom. There doesn't appear to be a good option between just re-sealing everything (not getting worse) and repairing the damage with a new roof. Seems like most of the cost is in the labor and the roof material.
Thanks,
Phil
