Here's one you might not know...I was an AQB (AN,3 and 2).

I taught Basic Electronics at  NATTC back in the mid '60's as an AQB2.  Now I'm a retired ATCS - go figure.  They decommissioned the Queens and turned us into Twidigets.  I dunno.  Was that a sex change?

Thanks for your service.

I was always told the Queens were to provide the Tweets with a dance partner.    Nosepicker One  :)

For all you Spad Q&N types drivers, crew and maintainers. I checked into VAW 11 Nov. 64, My first job was to check out a fork lift and go help load the truck of all the armored cowling for the Peter-pan spads that was stored in the loft of hangar 411 at North Island. The Next day was the commissioning ceremony for VAW 13. I was fortunate the God never hated me and gave me orders to VAW 13. I spent 3 cruises with the E-2A VAW 11-Det A, and two with VAW 116.

Served US Army from 1972 to 2009. A lot of reserve time with active duty Tours in the USA,  AFG, Iraq-2, Japan, Korea. Retired from Army. Disabled Veteran rated 90% service connected. I am as proud of my service as I am of my country. If you tell me "thank you for your service", my response is "you were worth it".

Rangers Lead the Way.

Thanks to all serving men and women and especially you old timers!

1972-2003 active duty in Korea, Okinawa and many years of reserve service
2005-2009 active duty 24 months in IRQ and AFG with 2.5 years at Fort Sill

I'd like to say I enjoy most of it but not all of it in my 34 years. This is a wonderful country that I think of daily.

I've been to An Khe (4TH Infantry Division) quite a few times, but I was mainly in the boonies. I got drafted after Tet. Or should I say After Tet? I also own the book.

Thanks for everyone's service.  Enjoy our Memorial Day weekend and remember our lost brothers and sisters to freedom.  Semper Fi friends.

We are now working for our sixth year in Yellowstone. I try to thank all veterans I see in our store for their service. I do point out that, if they had read the brochure, they would have seen that the Navy provides three hot meals a day, clean racks every night, and free ocean cruises!! ;D I feel honored to meet former, and current, members of our great military regardless of their rank or branch of service. It is an honor for me to greet those that are, or have, served in the defense of our great country!!
