Well, I can tell ya, that Charlie Lassen looked like Sasha after playing with John and Mary Whales' Charlie Brown for several days. He was bushed and slept hard. Every time we met each other at the dog "play ground" they played and played and played.
Thanks for the great pictures, John. And, for the suggestion of a dog park here in Phoenix. We found it and our poor Charlie ran up the gate and looked all over for your Charlie. We threw the ball for him for a while and he was happy. None of the other dogs in the park would play with him. They probably thought he was too "fru-fru".
We have to be really careful with him here at Usery Mountain Park, there is "jumping" cholla cactus (also called Teddy Bear cactus) all over the place. We went on a bird watching hike this morning led by a ranger...left Charlie at home. It was cold, overcast and windy and we learned birds don't usually fly in those conditions. However at the very end of the hike we spotted a bald eagle, rare for Phoenix.
