Hi Bigwave - welcome to The RV Forum!

Your motorhome has two separate 12 volt systems - one runs the house systems (lights, water pump, fans, etc.) and uses the house battery.  The other is the standard van system that runs the engine, automobile lights, dash lights, etc. from the starting battery.

The 120 to 12 volt converter charges the house battery and runs the house system when you're plugged into electricity.  Some converters also charge the starting battery, but not all do.

Sounds like your starting battery is dead, possibly from a light or something else that it feeds being left on while you were plugged into power.  Or you might have a disconnect switch that was left off, so the battery is not feeding anything.

Be sure to check for battery switches on dash or by step that connect and disconnect aux. batteries as well.
