Allison has introduced a new model in the 1000 series of transmissions. The new #1350 increases GCWR to 30,000 lbs (was 26,000 in all 1000 series trannys), enabling the towing of larger trailers or toads. The 1350 also has a Park pawl rather than requiring a parking brake to be applied when the transmission is in Park.
