1987 chieftain a good deal???

I am going to check this one out and wanted to get some advise from the pros.

Anything I have to look out for and is this a good deal?

I personally feel its a little high.

Hi Rob and welcome. For sure use a checklist. Be prepared to spend money on replacing/fixing/upgrading stuff.

It looks to be in good shape, at least cosmetically, and that usually indicates good care. So does the availability of mainteance records. The price is in the right ball park for a well-cared for older motorhome, but I would still make a lower offer and see how it goes.

In general the Chieftain was a good coach and there are plenty of them still in use.

I have a 1986 - 27 foot Chief and love it. I paid alot less for mine but it does need some work.
