If you want to get an overview and delete the search history Google has on you check this site.

http://www.google.com/dashboard

If you want to install an add on in your browser that greatly restricts how you're being tracked check this site -- best of all it's free

http://www.abine.com/

This really works and stops the majority of sites from tracking your visits.

Here's a good overview of what Google is trying to do with their new privacy policy.

I've cancelled all of my Google accounts and use Bing for search even though it's tracking is just as bad as Google's.

Not a problen if you don't have a Google account, right? You can still use the search engine without an account.

Yes, you can.

Honestly, I don't mean to be flippant, but why do I care?

I don't go to sites that I would be ashamed of others knowing. I don't ever click on ads. (I would click on an ad on RVForum, if I was interested.) I think they would be bored, to know who I associate with. I don't care who knows.

So what's my problem? I find Google to be irritating with their enthusiasm for details of other people's lives, but just feel that they are professionally snoopy for a price.
