Hello all,
I cannot manage to get my landing gear to operate. The legs and feet are presently on the ground and truck is unhooked.
The electric motor works, motor and the drive gear is turning the visible larger gear, however legs will not raise or lower.
I have also attempted operation with the manual crank handle ... with the 5th wheel on and off the truck ... nothing!
I can see the inner leg on the right side is extended about 2-3 inches further than the left leg.
The motor and crank spin smoothly both directions until a point when an obvious clunking and clanking begin. It sounds as though a gear is skipping but I can see the motor and larger drive gear and they both look fine.
I have looked online and seen many references to a "worm" gear. Where is this gear ? Could it be my problem ? Pricey fix ?
Is there a "how to" or "do it yourself" link available ? ...
Any input will be very much appreciated ...
