We just sold our first tent trailer and are about to upgrade to a new one.  :)

One of the ones we are seriously considering has an electric roof lift.  Just wondering if they are more of a nuisance than they are worth, or should we consider it?  The trailer would have a warranty but I didn't want to get stuck on a camping trip with no way to get the trailer packed up.

It only took me about 30 seconds to crank mine up.  A bit longer cranking it down due to being cautious not to pinch any canvas.  Depending on the price of the option, I can't see it.  Seems to be one more thing to go wrong when you least want it to.

We ended up not getting the electric lift.  Our local dealer met the other guy's price and it saved us a weekend of travel to get the other trailer.  :)
