Wiring a 2007 GMC Canyon as a Toad

Has anyone wired a GMC Canyon as a toad using bulb and socket, is there enough room to fit them in, or did you use a diode wiring kit. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ours was wired with diodes.  Didn't even consider using separate bulbs.  The wiring harness is the same in either case.
 
Art, Which way did you go with lighting? Did you do the install?  How is the Canyon towing 4 down? What type of braking are you using?
