FMCA 4 Wheeler Rally in Moab

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Terry,

Good job!  You showed a lot of skill recovering from "getting off the track' which, of course, can happen to anybody.  Congratulations!  Both Ardra and I recognize your skill and how tough it is sometimes doing 4-wheeling.

Betty:  I,too, would have had a mild libation or two upon the return to the Portal RV park.

Terry never got out of  vehicle.

Smart move on Terry's part.  He and the spare gas can both being on the left side were probably about all that was keeping the Jeep upright.  :)

Day Three (Not counting Sunday),

We (Tara n I) ran Seven Mile Rim today. There are some gorgeous views, crazy Jeepers, and too high ledges (don't ask how I know). The attached pics will give an idea of the day. Jeep pics are of some of the group on (too old to remember name of) hill. Note our Jeep safely parked behind the bush in the second picture.
I took the pics today.
Ernie

OK, which one is correct Betty?  ???
Tom, the beauty of growing older is that  one can forget by afternoon, what one was afraid of in the morning.  So I guess it is all true.  4 wheel drive folks are likely like fishermen who tell tales.  Photos another thing entirely!

Great shots Ernie.  We did  Steel Bender today and I am now thinking of a spa treatment to  soothe my hanging on muscles!

Photos to follow dinner and  Auction.

Ernie

That's called Wipe Out Hill & that was Glenn going down it.

Here are some pics Of Mashed Potatoes a couple of days earlier when Glen pulled a Jeep out of Bashful Crack & then got stuck in it himself.

Thanks for the photos Terry. This looks like safe fun  ???

Terry,

That's a long way from our first trip on the Ridge Ride!!!! ;D Sure wish Pat had let me buy the Jeep.  :)

Back Again,
Wednesday was an easy drive to hidden Canyon and the Bartlett Overlook. One decent hill, a few ledges, and some beautiful views. All of the RVForum group were on this (relatively easy) run (I guess we all wore out at the same time).
We climbed to a natural cave where we passed through the hill (about 2-300 ft.) to a real neat view; wore me out.
Then on to the Bartlett overlook, lunch and on to Dead Horse canyon. The view pics are mostly from Bartlett and the Canyon type pics (overexposure and all) are from Deadhorse.

Betty I loved the pic's one of these days I'm going to get there,it looks fun

Jim, the thing is this Moab place will cost you money as  one sees the new, beefier versions of  stuff one NEEDS for the Jeep.  And  yes, you would just love it here.

Jug Handle Arch is one of the places I wanted to go next week !

And it is right on the Highway. Fifteen minutes max from Portal and no off road  required at all.

There's also another arch out that way that you hike to, actually I think there are 2, Corona and Bowtie? I was thinking a hike out that way might be fun and different. And, of course, I have to search out petroglyphs.

Yep we have tracks for all of the FMCA runs on the Samsung Tablet Terry bought.  When a member of the FMCA 4Wheeling Club you get access to their library of  tracks done at rallies.  Very nice thing indeed.

We had done  this run with the Happy Trails group last October and it is worthy of a repeat with the scenery and variety of vistas.
