Well, this will be our first long trip in our new to us RV. We have had it out to a few local spot to test things out. 
Leaving tomorrow at 4AM so that we can be on the other side of LA before light and to avoid traffic. Heading to Sequoia RV Ranch right outside of Sequoia National Park.
Needless to say, we are excited about our trip. 8) We will be there for a week.
Going to start loading things this afternoon and turn the refrig on so that it will get cold. Check tires, and fluid levels and such.
Will post things as we travel and HOPEFULLY will not have any problems.
