Don't know if anybody else here knows about it, but Goodwill holds auctions everyday on all kinds of items including musical instrments.

Buyers and collectors have caught on to this site. A year ago you could find a rare 60's Teisco electric guitar for $10-$20, now that the Goodwill auctions have been discovered you'll pay ten times that much.
