As much as we'll miss Wendy, Mike & Gordon, I'm delighted to see that Linda, Dean & Sherlock are taking their place!

Gordon says there's no way a cat can take the place of an awesome Labrador retriever.

Have fun and stop by if you feel line helping shovel gravel.

Since I can't figure out how to stuff a Jeep in the back of a 5th wheel, I am going to be canceling our reservation for Moab this year. I will wait a day or two if anyone wants our site. We were in the resort side in R45.

Sarge,

I saw a 5er the other day with a jeep behind.  Looked like a typical Roadmaster Falcon hitch to me but I did not get to examine it as they were going the other way in our local construction.  I have no idea of how it was hooked in the 5er.

Yeah, Ca doesn't allow triple towing, at least not with a passenger vehicle. Some do and some don't.  That would freak me out anyways, towing a rig that long. Shoot, I would be over 70' feet long!

Sarge

I don't have the Jeep or the 3500 in the pic any more but I tow a Honda Fit now, 1500 lbs lighter than the Jeep, and have a Dodge 4500. I'm 70' with the Honda and have a rear view camera, Roadmaster Black Hawk tow bar and full active brake system with break away. It tows no problem but I wont be towing it to Moab due to our short trip this year.

What's up?  Did you sell the Journey and go 5'er?

Mike.

You are a braver man than I! Trying to navigate So. Cal. freeways with that much in tow would require an escort service!

Yeah I did Mike. I actually went back to 5ver, as that what we did before the motor homes.  It made more financial sense for us right now, and since we won't be traveling the country full time now, it hurts less to have the 5ver sitting in the driveway for extended periods.

At 70' in length, he'd never get out of California.

And that's the truth Wendy! The CHP would have a field day with the cite I would get!

Don't stick it in, stick it on ...do it like Chip (aka Falconhunter) did - drag it behind the fifth wheel! (I think he secretly wanted to be a train engineer).

Hello Sarge !

New guy here but I will take your spot.  I am hooking up with friends from SLC and will commit 100% to take your reservation.

My friends are Mike, Chrystal, and Jared Zuech (ZM Motorsports) and they already have a reservation.

You can email me at:

[email protected]

Thanks !

We already cancelled GP, so you can call right away and reserve the spot for the week.  I would do it quick as the spots go fast for that time of year.

Gary, hey bud.  That is awesome.  Welcome to the forum.  I wasn't sure if you got my email or not.  We are looking forward to finally getting to meet you and your wife.

Mike.

Hello Everyone, been working on the old jeep getting ready for Moab. Can't wait to get some Red dirt on it. As the Brewers & Weimert's told me in Death Valley, "Jeep means, Just Empty Every Pocket" I am beginning to believe it. I am posting a pic of the Jeep and I just hope to be able to tag along with all you guys this May. Terry, I can't tear it up because I have to have something to pull to Alaska after Moab. Can't wait to to see you all in Moab.

Yep looks like you have been spending money!  She is a beauty and you will do well in Moab.  Weare on our way toLake Havasu for a FMCA  rally with the Jeep.  We are excited about Moab too.

I feel like I am just crawling out from under a rock.  I am a tax man and have been working 16 hours a day for the last 3 months, which is really making me look forward to our first rally.  We are not going to be able to get there until Monday afternoon due to Mother's day committments, but we are looking forward to meeting everyone in the framily.  We don't have an offroad vehicle, but we do have a Honda Cr-V toad.  I am sure there is plenty to see by car in the  area and all of you will share your suggestions with us. Having never been to a rally before, is there anything special I need to know or to bring? Anything else I should know?  ???

Steve

Due to a sudden medical condition, Linda and I will not be able to attend the Moab Rally this year. I will not cancel our reservation until May 5th. Anyone wishing to attend and would like to take our site (Site RV 8 - a nice pull through), please contact me and we can coordinate tranferring our reservation (5/12 to 5/19) to you. Contact me at RSharp0914ataoldotcom.
