Only a so many ways to get there that will not take you really out of your way. One is US-191N to I-70W to UT-24S/W. This will take you past Goblin Valley State Park http://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/goblin-valley and Capitol Reef National Park http://www.nps.gov/care/index.htm. From Torrey you can either take the UT-12 Scenic Byway to Bryce or take UT-24W to the cutoff to Koosharem and then UT-62 to US-89 to Bryce. I highly recommend exploring UT-12 http://www.utah.com/byways/highway_12.htm even if you choose not to take the RV over it. It is one of the truly great Scenic Byways.

Another route would be to take US-191S to Blanding then UT-95 to UT-24 and then on as described above. This would take you past the needles district of Canyon Lands National Park http://www.nps.gov/cany/planyourvisit/needles.htm and Natural Bridges National Monument http://www.nps.gov/nabr/index.htm.

The longest route would be US-191S to US-163S to US-160W to AZ-98 or US-89 and then US-89 to Bryce. This route will take you through the Valley of the Gods, Goosenecks State Park http://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/goosenecks and Monument Valley, past Lake Powell and near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park http://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/coral-pink and the East entrance to Zion National Park.

Have a great trip no matter how you choose to get there.

all three routes mentioned above are great. you can't go wrong with any of them. if time permitting go thru monument valley and come back on 12 thru capitol reef.
enjoy

Bryce Canyon is one of the places I was told is a must to visit. We are planning on visiting sometime this year before the winter to check it out. It appears to be about 9-10 hour drive from me so it should be a fun trip. Can you a drive a motorhome to where you can really view the canyons or do you need a tow vehicle. The only reason I ask is because I don't have a tow vehicle on my new MH yet and I don't want to drive that far to not be able to see the canyons and hopefully walk some trails.

Josh,

We were just there and saw they have a campground in the park, right by Sunset Point where you can hike on the Rim Trail.

There's also Ruby's RV Park just outside the gate practically, where you can catch a shuttle to the park and then take shuttles all through the park.

It's an awesome place. You'll love it!
